In a bid to set a positive spiritual tone for the year, the Mayor of Yenagoa City, Hon. Bulodisiye Ndiwari, led the staff and appointees of the Yenagoa Local Government Council in a three-day solemn assembly, which commenced today at the Council Hall.


Addressing the gathering, Hon. Ndiwari expressed gratitude to God for granting the staff and residents of Yenagoa Local Government Area the grace to witness the dawn of a new year. He emphasized the importance of beginning the year with a God centric approach, highlighting the role of faith and unity in fostering progress and prosperity.


"We are here today to appreciate God for His mercies and guidance throughout the past year. It is only by His grace that we are gathered here again. As a council, we recognize the need to start the year with fasting and prayers, entrusting all our plans and decisions into God's capable hands," Hon. Ndiwari stated.


The event brought together council officials, appointees, and community members who joined in collective prayers, songs of worship, and reflections on the year ahead. The solemn assembly is expected to span three days, during which participants will engage in sessions of spiritual rejuvenation, motivational talks, and strategic discussions on fostering development within the local government.

The mayor further encouraged the staff to remain committed to their duties and work together in unity to achieve the council’s objectives. He assured residents of Yenagoa that the local government remains steadfast in its dedication to addressing the challenges faced by the community and delivering meaningful development.
