Hon. Bulodisiye Ndiwari, the Mayor of Yenagoa City Council, today embarked on a tour on his hometown, Biseni Clan, to conduct a firsthand inspection of the rising flood levels, particularly in Oturu-Ama Community. The situation has forced the relocation of children and property as the flood poses a significant threat to the Clan.

During the visit, Hon. Ndiwari expressed concern as the floodwaters, which have gradually been encroaching upon residential areas, have now begun to enter houses, damaging properties and farmlands. The mayor observed how the Clan’s primary means of livelihood—agriculture—has been severely impacted, with large portions of farmland submerged, leading to the destruction of crops and potential food shortages.

He reassured the people of Biseni of his commitment to collaborate with the state government and relevant authorities to see how lives and properties will be secured and safe.
The inspection tour by Hon. Ndiwari highlights his hands-on approach to governance, particularly in times of crisis, as he continues to lead efforts aimed at safeguarding the lives and property of the Yenagoa Local Government residents from the flood.
