Hon. Bulodisiye Ndiwari, the Mayor of Yenagoa City, led the weekly Prosperity Walk today. As usual, the event saw active participation from top Council officers, political appointees, and an enthusiastic crowd of Yenagoa Local Government Area (YELGA) residents.
However, today's Prosperity Walk took on a more impactful and inclusive dimension, as it coincided with a significant partnership between the Bayelsa State Government, UNICEF, and the Rotary Club.

This collaboration brought about a heartwarming gesture of social inclusion and public health intervention, highlighted by the donation of wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities, providing them with essential mobility support. Additionally, polio vaccines were administered to children, reinforcing the ongoing efforts to eradicate polio and ensure the health and safety of the younger generation as today marks world polio day.

The event resonated deeply with the crowd, as beneficiaries of the wheelchair donations were visibly moved by the act of generosity. The inclusion of the polio vaccination campaign further underscored the government’s determination to protect children from preventable diseases, aligning with broader public health goals.

The Prosperity Walk, remains a powerful symbol of unity, fitness, and community development in Yenagoa, further strengthened by this partnership with UNICEF and Rotary Club.
